Great trip to Cogne Italy with John and Richard to climb the Cascade de Lillaz – a beautiful multi-pitch ice climbing route up frozen waterfalls. It was like climbing up a wall of large, frozen cauliflower florets. We stayed at a modern, rustic inn with wonderful heated saunas and some of the best food I have ever eaten. I still have fond memories of the rabbit braised in a fine Dijon mustard sauce and a local distilled spirit called Genepi.
