A great summit of Mount Saint Helens with Boy Scout Troop 626 of Bellevue. Planned a 5 night trip commencing with a summit of the crater up Monitor Ridge, followed by a 4 night circumnavigation of the mountain following the Loowit Trail. Super day. Clear skies. Great views except for the north side summit which was socked in with clouds – could not see into the crater but a great hike/climb and the first Washington volcano I and my son summited.
