This was a loop trip – unplanned – up the old and down the new. A foggy cloudy day at the top. No views. The old trail is in standard condition – wet, damp, moist through rooty parts. At the summit, the view of the next goal is Dirt Box peak, with a possible traverse to Dirty Harry’s peak. I’ve been researching trip reports for good route navigation hints. Will just have to go do it. Took the new trail down – somewhat begrudgingly as I wish they did not make an easy way up – that said, it was an interesting walk, great trail shape and interesting to see the scenery of this side of the mountain – certainly more enjoyable to view than the old one.
