Hike with BSA Troop 626 from Bellevue – part of a summer series to earn the hiking merit badge. Hike up and back the old trail. The only trail. This was the glory days of one trail. Toothbrush anyone?
Snowmelt towards the tree line made the trail muddy. Snow above the tree line on the talus field. Made for easy kick stepping up and fun glissading down. There were a couple of men from Pakistan playing native music on a book box – rather odd – which made it seem we were in Kashmir. Great views of the surrounding area and a great first summit of Mailbox Peak.
